“We have been operating this program since 1998 and every year we see seat belt compliance rates increase amongst high schools that participate in Operation Click,” said Sean McGrath president of Operation Click. “Students are also committed to driving distraction-free and complying with the state’s teen driving laws. We’re proud of how well schools and teens respond to this program and we see them making safe, smart choices with their driving habits.”
Two separate banquets and car giveaway will be held:
- Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Concorde Banquets (20922 N. Rand Road) in Kildeer, Ill
- Friday, April 19, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at D’Andrea Banquets (4419 US 14, Crystal Lake, Ill)
Operation Click is a peer-run program that focuses on seat belt compliance, the dangers of distracted driving, obeying the Graduated Driver License laws and staying away from drinking and driving. Students also must pledge to have no behavioral or conduct issues at school. The high schools participating in this event can be found here. The cars are donated by Black Diamond Plumbing & Mechanical and Kunes Country Auto Group. Operation Click is sponsored by AAA Chicago.
