Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, AAA, IDOT, Illinois State Police Announce Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week
Second annual event will focus on education, enforcement and evaluation
 
 
WHAT:           AAA, The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, the Illinois State Police, IDOT, the Illinois High School and College Driver Education Association and 200+ state and local agencies have joined together to increase awareness, education and enforcement surrounding distracted driving. Both chambers of the Illinois legislature have passed resolutions and an official proclamation has been issued by Governor Rauner to declare April 23th through April 27th as Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week. A press conference will be held to detail this statewide initiative.
