Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police and AAA Announce First Ever Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week
 
 
WHAT:           AAA, The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, the Illinois State Police and 200+ state and local agencies have joined together to increase awareness, education and enforcement surrounding distracted driving. Both chambers of the Illinois legislature have passed resolutions and an official proclamation has been issued by Governor Rauner to declare April 24th through April 28th as Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week. A press conference will be held to detail this statewide initiative.
